TikTok RPM by niche and audience
TikTok's Creator Rewards Program does not publish niche rates, and in EarnTrackr's model the base rate is the same for every niche: $0.40–$1.00 per 1,000 qualified views. What moves the number is the audience, retention and video length. With a typical 50% qualified-view rate, 1M total views pays about $200–$500 for a US audience.

Source: EarnTrackr calculator model (US range × location multiplier), based on YTface, Lenos and SMBillion country CPM ratios. YouTube per 1,000 views; TikTok per 1,000 qualified views.
Why this differs from the country table above. That table compiles published third-party benchmarks country by country; this one is the calculator model, which scales the US range by a single multiplier per location (United Kingdom 0.7×, Canada 0.9×, India 0.025×). The model keeps every niche consistent, so its UK, Canada and India figures don't match the compiled ranges exactly. For a specific country's RPM, the compiled benchmarks are the better figure to cite.
| Country | Advertiser CPM | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Australia | $36–$43 | YTface / Lenos (via EarnTrackr research) |
| United States | $32.75–$36 | Lenos 2024, YTface 2026, SMBillion |
| Canada | $29.15–$32.07 | YTface, SMBillion |
| United Kingdom | $21.59–$23.75 | YTface, Lenos |
| India | $0.70–$3.35 | YTface |
| Global average | $3.50 | UpGrowth 2026 |
CPM is advertiser spend per 1,000 ad impressions before YouTube's cut, not creator pay.

Twitch CPM and subscription rates
Twitch has no view-based RPM like YouTube or TikTok. Streamers earn from subs, Bits ($0.01 each) and a 55% share of net ad revenue when running at least 3 ad minutes per hour (30% otherwise). Twitch publishes no ad rate card, so the CPMs below are industry estimates.

Frequently asked questions
What is a good RPM on YouTube in 2026?
For a US audience on long-form videos, $2–$5 is typical in gaming, comedy and lifestyle, around $4–$13 is typical in beauty, health and education, and $15–$30 is achievable in personal finance. vidIQ's own blended-niche channel reported about $3.23 RPM, so anything above $5 is solid for a general audience.
What is the average TikTok RPM?
TikTok's Creator Rewards Program pays $0.40–$1.00 per 1,000 qualified views for US audiences. Not every view qualifies (EarnTrackr's model assumes about half do), so per 1,000 total views the effective rate is closer to $0.20–$0.50. One creator reported earning $0.49 per 1,000 qualified views, or $0.18 per 1,000 total views (DemandSage).
Which YouTube niche has the highest RPM?
Personal finance has the highest RPM in our data at $15–$30 per 1,000 views for US viewers, followed by tech reviews ($10–$20) and education ($6–$13). Advertisers pay more to reach viewers who are actively buying financial products and software.
What is the difference between RPM and CPM?
CPM is what advertisers pay per 1,000 ad impressions. RPM is what the creator actually receives per 1,000 video views, after the platform cut and after counting views that showed no ads. On YouTube long-form, the creator keeps 55% of ad revenue, so RPM is always well below CPM.
Does TikTok pay more for some niches?
Not through the Creator Rewards Program base rate, which is $0.40–$1.00 per 1,000 qualified views regardless of niche in our model. Audience country, retention and video length move the rate far more. Niche matters much more for brand deal pricing than for TikTok's payouts.
How much does YouTube Shorts pay per 1,000 views?
Usually $0.03–$0.08 per 1,000 views for a US audience, and $0.01–$0.07 as a global average (Shopify, Loopex Digital). Finance Shorts can reach $0.05–$0.30 (OutlierKit). That is a small fraction of long-form RPM in the same niche.
